From 2010 to 2014 55.7million abortions were performed annually worldwide. This is 222.8 million abortions worldwide in the 4 year period.
Approximately 60 million abortions were performed in the United States since Roe V Wade was decided in 1973.
We are now in a time in history for those who are pro-life to have a reason for optimism. Many states have recently passed heartbeat laws where no abortion can be done from the moment a heartbeat is detected in babies in utero.
Of course, we see other states legislating abortion until actually birth. The line of demarcation is being more clearly defined than ever before. There is talk about Roe V Wade being overturned eventually etc.
For those of us who perceive these things from the spiritual realm specifically a spiritual warfare realm. Those who believe the enemy, Satan is behind the murder of these innocent children is obviously angry for the ground he has and is losing.
For those who are dealing with this as an issue only(abortion) paradigm and not from the larger understanding of spiritual warfare. They will not be prepared for what will come next.
Permit a digression to explain what I mean; When the church came into existence in a powerful way on the day of Pentecost, from the perspective of spiritual warfare we notice primarily the resistance was coming from the Jewish Leaders, the Pharisee's, Sadducee's. High Priest and family and other teachers of the law mostly. We do see an attempt to infiltrate the leaven of hypocrisy via Ananias and Saphirra, but the Lord intervened and powerfully and demonstratively prevented that from happening. But from persecution and external oppression, physical punishment and imprisonment the attack of Satan was using the conduit of the Principality of a Religious Spirit.
Now notice in Act's chapters 9 and 10 when Saul is converted, the Apostle to the Gentiles and Peter get a vision of God including the Gentiles, coupled with Cornelius the Italian Centurion getting instructions to send for Peter at Joppa and the result was the Holy Spirit fell upon the Gentiles. We now see the expansion of the Kingdom with the inclusion of the Gentile nations with the redeemed Jewish believers.
Notice what the enemies response was in Chapter 12, Chapter 11 is Peter defending and establishes it was God who was now including the Gentile by explaining to the Jewish Church what God had done via his vision and at Cornelius house.
In chapter 12 we see King Herod who represents a political principality joins with the religious principality and begins a graduated combined attack of persecution against the church. He Kills(beheads), James the Apostle, the brother of John and because it pleased the Jews he also put Peter in prison planning on killing him after the Easter weekend.
Let me make the connection if you haven't already, God has graduated hos expansion of His Kingdom by including the Gentiles, the enemy has graduated his resistance by joining two principalities together in agreement. One operating against the church already, the religious spirit, the other represented by Herod, the Political spirit. The first Apostle was lost, but God enacted his secret weapon the "House of Mary" to ektenes, stretch themselves into day and night intercession for Peter(Apostolic Purpose) to be delivered, which God did by sending an angel..you can read the story for yourselves...back to the point.
From a strictly spiritual warfare position, if the enemy loses the battle even in a greatly reduced way to murder 55.7 babies per year, how do you think he will make up the loss of that many casualties in his agenda to steal, kill and destroy? WAR...it's coming!!
